Great fun to cost ratio.
I bought our two inflatable Kayaks about a year ago after researching the options perhaps a little too much. I selected this pair of kayaks in part because It let me get two 2 man boats for my budgeted amount. Most of the other inflatables that interested me more were outside this cost for even one kayak so this settled it. I spent about 100.00 per person for boats and accessories.I did not want a cloth wrapped kayak because I was pretty sure we would end up with a moldy smelling kayak at some point and we are usually pretty gentle on our belongings. I liked that these have options to make them suitable for fishing. I like the more elongated canoe shape of them and the excellent amount of stability they offer the new paddlers who use them.We have enjoyed adding them to the gear when visiting or camping at state parks with lakes. We also use them to take our visitors to lakes with mountain views several of which are with in 30-45 minutes of our house. Everyone has a great time and these are easy enough to use.A couple of tips. The pumps might not come properly assymbled. The top can be screwed off and the plunger brought into view to make sure the O ring is properly seated in its groove. Ours were not, and it was easily remedied after embarrassing moments pumping with no results before realizing it. Secondly there are twist valves in the three locations where one puts the end of the pump. The position of the valve needs to be where is is not staying full open when filling the boat. Otherwise you will loose air as you fill and even more when removing hose. This is mentions in the manual, we have to remember to tell guests. These kayaks bob and wobble and drift a little bit especially with new paddlers, but they remain stable and it’s not hard to get where you want to go even if with an imperfect path across the water. My kids and I however, can make decent speed in a straight line when paddling in synch.

Leaking out of the box. But other than that…
We received our two kayaks yesterday. Several days early — that was great. They are easy to setup, although the instructions could be more detailed. Link to an Intex video would be great.Anyway both kayaks look great and feel sturdy. Unfortunately one of the seals around one of the valves on one of the kayaks was faulty right out of the box. It has a slow leak seemingly caused by a flame that moves freely (inappropriately).I have sent the seller an email and hope to get this resolved quickly. I’ll post an update for what would otherwise be a five star reviewUpdate—customer service answered in 1 day. They have arranged to replace the defective kayaks at no cost — I will update when it arrives. Added one star for now – 2 more if all goes smoothly from hereUpdate #2 — the new kayak came today — way faster than I thought it would. Overall the turnaround from customer service at intex has been awesome. Thanks. Here are your five stars.Update 3Took both Kayaks out yesterday. Local pond with moderate winds. Put them together on about ten minutes… Was so hot had to take a dip. Wife and daughter in one and son and I in the other. We had a great time. Kayaks are stable kids could climb in and out while out on the water without great of tipping.Taking them to cape cod Bay next week.

Very convenient if space is an issue!
We bought these because we couldn’t figure out another solution for carrying hard Kayaks with our fifth wheel . We needed two-seaters and the majority of rigid kayaks are too long to stand upright on the back of the fifth wheel. We have been very pleased with these kayaks thus far. They inflate very quickly whether I’m using the hand pump or the powered Intex pump that we purchased separately. They track very well considering their footprint on the water. They are very stable for our young kids as well. We purchased two of these and in one of the pictures I attached, you can see one of them inflated and the other folded up in the bag. I was pleasantly surprised to discover pretty much everything fits in the bag. When place in the bag, it’s not as hard to move around as I expected it would be. We are about to take them on a month-long National Park adventure and we hope to use these often.

Great kayak for the money!
Absolutely great kayak for the money. Well built and easy to assemble. I especially like the pressure gauge included in the package. We sold our hard kayaks after we purchased a 5th wheel camper and these go right in the back of the truck in their carry bags!

Check the kayak rod holder for leaks.
The media could not be loaded.
The kayaks are well made except for the leak at the rod holder of one of the two kayaks we bought. The seller responded promptly to our messages and sent us a full refund for the leaking kayak. The other kayak is holding out well after three outings.

The best quality inflatable I have seen in a long time.
They didn’t skimp on quality materials with these kayaks, that is for certain. If you have back problems, you may have a bit of trouble lifting these buggers when they are deflated. But that is because of the very thick and rugged material they are made of. I am very impressed with these kayaks and can’t wait to take them camping with me.

DO MORE RESEARCH
MY ONLY ISSUE I HAVE IS WITH THE SEATS. THEY COULD HAVE USED DOUBLE ROWS OF FELCRO AND MADE THE SEAT CUSHION WIDER SO THAT THE SEAT STAYS IN PLACE PRIOR TO TRYING TO TAKE YOUR SEAT. THE SIDES ARE STRONG ENOUGH AND ROUNDED ENOUGH TO HELP HOLD THE SEAT IN PLACE. I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO DEFLATE THEM YET, BUT I’M CERTAIN IT WON’T BE EASY.

Came with a hole in the bottom
I would have liked these kayaks if they had been better made. The first one i inflated had a hole in the bottom, a bit of a tear. I inflated it on my driveway with nothing under it, so it came that way. Although it appeared to be new from th he packaging, the bottom appeared to have sun damage. I considered just patching the boat and keeping it, but I’m afraid it would tear too easily on any stone on the shore. By comparison, i have had an advanced elements kayak for almost 20 years, and with regular use, still no leaks.
